About
Many of my clients are working in pressurised, competitive roles and are at risk of burnout. I am here to give them a confidential space to reflect and plan their steps to ensure they are taking care of themselves as well as moving forward in their career. I am human first in my approach, I am relational and will challenge as well as support.
I have always been interested in what makes people tick and enjoyed learning more about myself and what motivates others through roles in Sales, Marketing and Human Resources in large corporate global organisations. When my own daughters were young, I made the decision to retrain to become a teacher to achieve more balance. This was successful during the school holidays, but not so much during term time!
Having made the decision to leave teaching, I knew I wanted to support others to have more meaningful lives and I investigated coaching. I enrolled on an ‘Introduction to Coaching’ course and 3 days later, I was utterly convinced this was what I wanted to do. I completed my full Coach training programme with the Co-Active training institute, widely recognized as the most rigorous professional coach training and certification programme in the industry. Following further training, this led to Certification with the International Coaching Federation the following year.
Since then, I have continued to grow my skills, becoming a Certified ‘Firework’ Career Coach; a Systemic Coach; a Body focused Coach; and a Myers-Brigg Certified practitioner as well as undertaking a certificate in Humanistic Counselling. I am currently completing a Diploma in Gestalt Counselling.
I bring my experience of leading teams, coaching senior leaders in corporate environments, being a parent and living in the USA and France to my Coaching. I know what it is like to be stressed and miserable at work and that other, better options are possible. I am a lifelong learner and an enthusiast of new experiences and adventures.
I have changed career many times and fully understand the challenges and opportunities which this brings. There is nothing like having a lived experience to be able to support others empathetically, whilst recognising that no two lives are the same.
So I set up this business to help others to create meaningful and values led lives, supporting them to answer the question Mary Oliver posed in her poem, ‘The Summer’s Day’:
“What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
